My Minbar does not have the athan files installed with it. Can you help me?

You need the itl library. You get it from here:

I’m trying to install Minbar on Arch Linux but I’m getting this error:

configure: error: “itl/prayer.h not found.”

If I can install it properly on my system, maybe I can get it in the AUR repositories for all the archers to be able to install it.

Its my pleasure to know that minbar is working fine on your computer now.

It seems there was a bug in the MiniMe software library. After the last full upgrade i did via Synaptic, Minbar no longer crashes when playing athan manually or automatically on athan time.
So the issue has been completely resolved and Minbar works perfectly.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m trying to investigate this problem. As I’m not the writer of this software, just a packager; so I don’t have a very clear idea at the moment what’s going wrong.

Is this because of some missing dependency, or some bug in any software libray in MiniMe? I’m not very sure at the moment. But I’ll try to resolve this. On my computer I’m using PCLinuxOS 2007 and it seems to be working fine.

Plz tell one thing, does the minbar play Adhan normally when the prayer time reaches or not? Is it that the program crashes only when you press the Play button?

I tried your packages on my fully updated PCLinuxOS MiniMe2008. I first installed the libitl rpm then the minbar rpm. Everything works fine except when i press play to play an athan in the preferences menu the program crashes, thus there is no athan…
When running minbar as root it will crash also and give the following output:

libnotify-Message: Unable to get session bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
One element could not be created
**********

I don’t understand why this is happening since PCLOS MiniME 2008 is the same as 2007 except updated packages through synaptic. I have libnotify installed as well.

Do you have any idea how one can fix this ?

(btw you should contact thac or texstar at pclinuxos to add your packages to the repositories… there are many Muslim users of PcLinuxOS especially in Turkey)
