The musician was released to his family on Tuesday night after satisfying bail conditions.
The singer’s lawyer, Adeinka Ormide-Fusica, confirmed that the singer was released around 7:30 p.m.
The attorney also said Song is scheduled to appear in Yaba Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday in a case shelved today.
Adinka said the purpose of the proceedings is to obtain advice from the Attorney General (GP).
Son, the youngest son of the late Afrobite legend Fela Coty, was arrested on May 15 after being filmed attacking a police officer on the Third Mainland Bridge.
He was arrested by the State Criminal Investigation Directorate (SCID) and appeared before a magistrate’s court on May 16.

Police had sought an order to detain him for 21 days until the investigation was completed.
However, Judge Adeola Olatubsun ordered police to detain the musician for a further 48 hours before releasing him on bail.
On Thursday, Olatubson extended Sewoon’s detention for another four days so police could continue their investigation.
He also sent copies of Sun’s files to the Attorney General, ordering the trial to be postponed until May 22.

The trial has since been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 23.
However, today the trial was suspended due to the absence of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
Earlier in the day, demonstrators were seen holding placards with graffiti reading “Free Sun Kuti” and “End Police Brutality” outside the courtroom..
